Aftercare

Micropigmentation aftercare

Make sure your hands are washed and sanitized
1st DAY:
for the first day gently clean the area using distilled water and cotton pad when you see lymph (body fluid) going out of the brow area. Otherwise, the big scab will form and you will loose a lot of pigment when it is falling down. In the end of the day apply thin layer of aftercare ointment.

2nd -10th DAYS: After first day don’t use any water but only ointment (THIN LAYER) 2 times in a day (morning and evening) for 10 days until scabs start to fall off. Each time wash hands before and after application and use clean cotton to avoid infection. If a crust appears on the pigmented surface do not force the removal by picking, scratching or washing! A pigment may be removed along with the crust! Use a gentle face cleanser but avoid the treatment areas.
Shower with your back to the water to avoid water, shampoo and conditioner from getting into the pigmented areas Avoid for 10 days: Soaps; Facial cleansers; Washing pigmented area; Chlorine pools; Retin-A on pigmented areas; Makeup on pigmented area for 10 days, including non-allergenic; Hot, steamy, long showers; Sun on pigmented areas; Jacuzzi or saunas;

Lip filler aftercare

  • do stick to foods that are easy to eat
  • do avoid kissing or massaging your lips directly after the procedure and possibly for up to 24 hours if it is your first lip filler injection
  • do be gentle with your skin while washing for 24 hours
  • don’t use and exfoliating agent for 24 hours or any harsh cleaning brush
  • don’t have a facial massage for at least two weeks
  • don’t drink through a straw for the 1st day as this puts pressure on the lips
  • don’t drink alcohol for at least 24 hours after you have had fillers
  • don’t exercise excessively for at least 24-hour

Healing

Micropigmentation healing

The result of the treatment is determined by the following: medication, skin characteristics (dry, oily, sun-damaged, thick or thin skin type), Personal pH balance of your skin, alcohol intake and smoking, post-procedure aftercare. Upon completion of the procedure, there may be swelling and redness of the skin, which will subside within 1-4 days depending organism. Immediately after the procedure, the enhancement can be 30 to 50% darker than the desired result and it can take between 4-10 days to lighten. The true colour will be visible 1 month after each application, and the colour may vary according to skin tones, skin type, age and skin conditions. Some skins accept colour more readily than others and no guarantee of an exact effect or color can be given.

It is very important to wipe the pigmented area with sterile water, cotton pad and then apply thin layer of ointment on the first day if the lymph appears. The reason is to remove the lymph otherwise your eyebrows will be covered with big scabs. If the client follows the aftercare, she/he will get small scabs – thin layer of crust that will be peeling of itself. It is very important not to scratch eyebrows (client can feel itching) as you can easily loose the pigment together with scratching. If this happen, mostly there is no pigment left and skin can be white or even reddish because of irritation. The irritation will disappear within a few days. Sometimes the client can see redness the same day after the treatment. This is also normal and it disappears in the next few days

Lip filler healing

The lip filler procedure takes just a few minutes and is minimally invasive. But the procedure is not permanent, and you’ll need to get future injections to maintain the lip fullness the filler creates.
You may have swelling or tenderness and bruising after the procedure, though the side effects should be minor.
Aftercare for lip fillers is manageable. If you’re unsure whether the procedure is right for you, it helps to be aware of what to expect during aftercare.

  • If you have bruising at the injection site, it may help to apply aloe vera, vitamin K, or arnica creams
  • Use ice pack ( do not use Ice) This will help ease swelling, itching, bruising, and any other pain.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours after you get lip or any other dermal fillers. Elevated blood pressure and heart rate from exercise may make swelling or bruising worse. It’s fine to engage in light activity, like walking.
  • Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water will help your body heal.
  • Eat plenty of hydrating fruits and vegetables and try to avoid excess sodium, which may worsen swelling.
  • Avoid high temperatures, like steam rooms, saunas, or heated exercise classes for 48 hours after treatment. High heat can make swelling more pronounced.
  • If you’re getting lip fillers for a specific event, make sure to leave plenty of time in between the procedure and the event to allow your lips to properly recover.
  • Try to sleep with your head elevated on pillows to reduce swelling. Do not sleep on your face.
  • Avoid makeup on your lips for up to 24 hours after the procedure.
  • Avoid Alcohol for at least 24 hours after getting lip fillers. Alcohol can also cause inflammation, increase the likelihood of bruising, and make swelling worse. It’s also a good idea to avoid alcohol a few days before your appointment.

When will it achieve the final look?
You’ll see immediate results with lip fillers, but once the swelling goes down, the results will not look quite as pronounced. It typically takes about 4 weeks for the filler to settle in and achieve the final, desired look.
The results will typically last about 6 months.
